For over 15 years, CSR's Scattered Site Emergency Shelter program has provided transitional housing and assistance to homeless families referred to the program by the Department of Transitional Assistance. The program rents and manages 95 housing units throughout Greater Boston for these families. The staff provides assistance, support and resources to program participants, including advocacy, counseling and job training, enabling them to move toward self-sufficiency and into permanent housing. The program also provides assistance with budgeting and housing searches. Families typically remain in the program for 9-10 months.
