The CSR Family Residence Foster Home Program (FRFHP) provides an innovative model for working with adolescents in foster care within a family setting. This program matches experienced foster families, one member of whom is a stay-at-home paid professional, with four-to-six youth. FRFHP parents receive a competitive salary and benefits package in exchange for providing foster care for youth. Specialized training is offered to Family Residence Foster Parents who must provide more structure to their foster children than the traditional foster home setting. CSR staff members visit weekly and provide on-going clinical support to the homes. The program provides a home environment for youth while preparing them for adulthood. The adolescents are introduced to community resources and become connected to the community. Currently, CSR manages six FRHRP homes: one in Boston, three in the Northeast and two in the Metro area.
