CSR operates more than 22 social service programs serving thousands of low-income children, families, and adults throughout Massachusetts annually. Contracts with the Massachusetts Department of Social Services (DSS) fund several programs including Intensive Foster Care, Adoption, Family Stabilization & Support (FSS), Parent Mentor, and Massachusetts Families for Kids (MFFK). Contracts with the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance and the Department of Public Health fund programs for homeless individuals and families. The majority of CSR funding comes from state contracts designed to serve specific populations. Many of these contracts have closed referral systems and include restrictions limiting the scope of services and the clients served. As a result, CSR welcomes corporate and individual donations which assists the organization in maintaining its level of quality services while expanding those services where needed.
